How it works
Atemi has three parts that share one database: your public website, the member app and the admin console. Whatever happens in one is there in the other two, with no syncing, imports or retyping.
The three parts
Public website
Your club's site on your own domain, or yourclub.atemi.app. Timetable, classes, coaches, prices, trial booking, join online, shop, events, blog and reviews.
Member app
Installs on a phone from the browser. Members book classes, show their door pass, pay, sign forms, see their belt progress and manage their family.
Admin console
Where staff run the club: members, payments, timetable, registers, gradings, leads, messaging, the website editor, reports and settings.
A member's journey
- 1Finds youVisits your website or a landing page. Visits are tracked, so a half filled form becomes a lead.
- 2Books a trialPicks a trial session online. Staff see them on the trial register and get a lead card.
- 3Comes inChecked in at the door or on the class register. Trial visitors marked as attended or missed get their follow up messages automatically.
- 4JoinsChooses a plan online or at the desk, creates their account and sets up a Direct Debit or card.
- 5TrainsBooks classes in the app and taps in with a QR pass. Attendance builds up on their record.
- 6ProgressesGraded, awarded stripes and belts, licence renewed. All shown in the app.
- 7StaysIf attendance drops or a payment fails, they show up on the retention and arrears lists.
Features are switches
Features come as modules. Members, the dashboard and staff settings are always on. Everything else is switched on per club from the Features page in the admin console.
A module that is off disappears from the staff menus and its features switch off. Turn it on later and it appears, with nothing to migrate.

Built to be safe with money and data
- Every change is logged: who did it, when, and what it was before. Most sections have their own notes and activity page.
- Archived members and deleted website pages can be restored, and many settings changes can be reverted.
- Staff only see what their role allows, and the rules are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the screen.
- Refunds and overrides can be set to need a second person to approve them.
- Payments go into your own GoCardless and Stripe accounts, so money goes straight to your bank. Atemi never holds member funds.
